Adelaide Shredder Nears Completion

Construction of Access Recycling’s Adelaide shredding plant took a major step closer to completion in early July, with the arrival of the final hammer-mill pieces from Italy. The plant is expected to be commissioned by mid-August, 2016, and will supply Intercast & Forge with very clean metal under a long-term supply agreement. The metal will be melted in Intercast’s furnaces, located adjacent to the Access Recycling site, to produce specialty rail fastenings, among other things, for use in railway networks around the world.
